If you love convertibles, then surely you know about the New England Motor Press Association’s (NEMPA) “Ragtop Ramble & Crustacean Crawl” — which is now sponsored by The Haartz Corporation!
This year’s event, which was held on July 21, saw media reps driving drop-tops from the Lars Anderson Auto Museum in Brookline, Massachusetts, to the Colony Hotel in Kennebunkport, Maine. In true New England fashion, the nearly 100-mile journey ended with a delicious lobster boil lunch.
Among the participating vehicles was the all-new Buick Cascada, which features Haartz’s Sonnenland A5B/DS topping. The Cascada recently received top honors in the J.D. Power Initial Quality Survey.
Also on deck was the Volkswagen Denim Beetle, which rocks Haartz’s Twillfast RPC HT Weave. It’s an acoustically enhanced three-ply topping with acrylic twill weave facing, rubber inner-layer and a polyester dobby backing.
“We enjoy participating in NEMPA’s Ragtop Ramble for several reasons,” said Matt Williams, director of business development for Haartz. “It allows us to see, touch, and experience the cars we work to develop every day and it gives the media the opportunity to experience the multiple roof styles and qualities that make open-air driving so enjoyable.”
As the world’s number one supplier of convertible topping material, Haartz is committed to improving the open-air driving experience.
“The toppings on these convertibles represent great advancements in quality and performance,” Matt said. “We’re very excited for people to experience those benefits firsthand.”
