There’s a lot of money to be made in installing and repairing sunroofs. However, not every auto upholstery shop has the technical expertise to offer the service. Fortunately, the DECANO Self-Adhesive Sunroof is quick and easy to install.
DECANO recently sent us two sunroofs – one to test and the other to give away to one lucky member of The Hog Ring community. What follows is our review.
What is a DECANO sunroof?
The DECANO sunroof is comprised of a flexible, black laminate that’s both weatherproof and self-adhering. Unlike competitors, the sunroof is one-size-fits all. Using sharp shears, the laminate can be trimmed to fit nearly all vehicle makes and models.
How easy is it to install?
We installed our DECANO sunroof in under 10 minutes.
It comes completely assembled and ready to go. Simply peal the sunroof from its eco-friendly paper backing and secure it to a vehicle’s hard roof. The sunroof uses patent-pending static cling technology, so no roof cutting is necessary.
Before installing, we recommend you wash and dry the vehicle roof to remove debris and measure for optimal placement. After laying the DECANO sunroof flat, use a credit card to push out the air bubbles.
What did we think?
Most sunroofs are a hassle. They constantly leak, are always breaking down and cost an arm and a leg to repair. And God forbid you forget to close the glass in a rainstorm. Who needs the trouble?
DECANO knows that the only good thing about a sunroof is how it makes your car look from the outside. That’s why their sunroof is perfect. It provides the same cool look without any of the hassle.
In short, it’s a real winner!
Where can you buy it?
The DECANO sunroof sells for $25.00 plus $6.00 shipping and is available along other fine products, like Chinese convertible tops, on Ebay.

Happy April Fools’ Day! Did you really think we’d endorse a product this bad?
Jim says
Had to think about this one for a minute . . . However, it’s not that unreasonable. Do you remember the fake car phone antennas? I remember people rolling up their windows on hot days to make everybody think they had AC when they didn’t. Vanity sells. And this sunroof is not a pretend product, is it? Just one that a shop with some kind of standards would not sell.
Nadeem Muaddi says
You’re exactly right. It’s a real product. Just one we would never endorse or sell.
