J.D. Power just released its 2016 Initial Quality Survey and new convertibles featuring topping by The Haartz Corporation are among the vehicles with the highest ranking.
The all-new Buick Cascada tied with the Scion tC for the highest ranking vehicle in the Compact Sporty Car segment. The Cascada features Haartz’s Sonnenland A5B/DS, which is a high-performance, acoustically enhanced, three-ply topping with acrylic twill weave facing, rubber inner-layer and polyester dobby backing.
The Porsche 911 also took top honors in the Midsize Premium Sporty segment. It features Haartz’s Sonnenland A5.3 topping, which has an acrylic twill weave facing, rubber inner-layer and polyester dobby backing.
What’s more, the Audi TT led the Compact Premium Sporty segment. It features Haartz’s Sonnenland A5.3M/DS material, which is an acoustically enhanced, three-ply topping with acrylic twill weave facing, rubber inner-layer and polyester dobby backing.
“It’s great to see so many convertibles leading their segments in this J.D. Power survey,” said Haartz’s Matthew Williams. “Haartz has worked closely with many OEMs for enhanced acoustics, innovative design and increased performance on many of our materials. We are particularly pleased to see Cascada on the list since it just hit the market in the U.S.”
The J.D. Power Initial Quality Survey examines problems experienced by vehicle owners during the first 90 days of ownership. Initial quality is determined by the number of problems experienced per 100 vehicles, with a lower score reflecting higher quality.
