BMW recently announced that the 2021 M3 and M4 will feature optional carbon fiber sport seats — and we have details.
BMW says the “M Carbon Bucket Seats” blend comfort and premium materials with optimal racing functionality.
They’re trimmed in fine-grain Merino leather and Alcantara. The bolsters are designed to hug the body just right for close cornering on the track.
The seats weigh 21 lbs less than the standard seat, feature integrated head restraints and mounts for multi-point belts, and electric adjustments.
They’re also the first ventilated M seats since the E30 M3 debuted 35 years ago.
The “M Carbon Buck Seats” are optional, and will run you about $4,500 extra. But if you’re an aspiring speed racer, they’re definitely worth it.
