While Ford is dumping loads of money and resources into developing new interior fabrics made from plants, the owner of this Volkswagen Jetta has taken a more organic approach.
His car, which features a grass lawn growing out of its roof, may be the strangest way any driver has ever attempted to offset a vehicle’s carbon footprint. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work.
The good folks over at Car News China – who spotted this “green” ride on a street in China – explain: “The lawn ads weight and the construction causes extra drag, so in the end the vehicle will use much more fuel.”
Oh well, you can’t blame a guy for trying…
