Mobile Tech Expo 2020 has officially been canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The annual conference is the automotive aftermarket industry’s largest gathering of mobile tech professionals, covering a range of services from leather and upholstery repair to glass repair and even detailing. Basically, any automotive business that’s mobile is represented.
Show organizers said in a statement that the decision to cancel the show was made to protect the safety and wellbeing of attendees.
“After much consideration, Mobile Tech Expo Las Vegas set for August 28-29, 2020 at the South Point Hotel and Casino has been cancelled due to the recent increase in Coronavirus cases,” they said. “We feel that the safety of our community is much too important to risk the health of even one person.”
Mobile Tech Expo isn’t the only industry event to be cancelled this year. SEMA and AAPEX also announced that their annual shows will not take place.
Fortunately, the auto upholstery industry has a lot to look forward to — as NC Carpet Binding & Equipment will be hosting a live virtual trade show during the first week of November. You can read details here.
