Congrats to the winners of Hydes Leather’s annual Home Run Awards, who each took home a coveted Home Run Awards engraved bat, over $10,000 in prizes and ultimate bragging rights at the show.
Upholsterers, car builders and trim shops from across North America gathered last Wednesday at Sahara Las Vegas’ Paradise Lounge for an evening of socializing, drinks and awards. The party and award ceremony was held on the sidelines of the 2024 SEMA Show.
“We had a blast,” said Ben Cooke, general manager for Hydes. “It was great to see so many people from the automotive interior industry gathered in one place, celebrating true craftsmanship.”
Trimmers who entered the Home Run Awards competed in four categories for over $10,000 in prizes, including a full 55 yard roll of Alcantara! The winners were:
Best Custom Car: Gabe’s Custom Interiors’ 1971 ‘Cuda
Best Custom Truck: Recovery Room Hot Rod Interiors’ 1951 Henry J Pickup
Best Custom Import: E3 Customs’ 1976 V12 Toyota Celica
Best Use of Alcantara: Avant-Garde Designs’ for their 1970 Charger “Sangria”
“More than 30 cars and trucks, all using Hydes, reached the final judging rounds, but these four beauties stood out from the pack for their unbelievable fit and finish,” said Cooke. “It was incredibly humbling to see so many world-class interiors trimmed in Hydes products.”
