Trimmer Carmine ‘Bucky’ M. Zicaro of Worcester, Massachusetts, has died at age 85
Bucky was born in Worcester on August 29, 1939 and graduated from Commerce High School, where he fell in love with cars and his future wife MaryAnn Lombardozzi.
After finishing school, Bucky enlisted in the US Coast Guard and became a firefighter for the City of Worcester, where he served for 42 years. During his time in the fire department, Bucky developed a passion for restoring vintage cars, which evolved into a successful small business in custom auto upholstery. “His talent and artistry earned him a reputation for being the very best at his craft,” according to his obituary.
In retirement, Bucky enjoyed traveling yearly to Aruba with his family, where he forged many friendships and shared countless unforgettable moments. “His life was firmly anchored in his family, and his devotion to and support of them was limitless,” his obituary says. “His mark on this world was larger than life, and he will be greatly missed.”
Sadly, Bucky died on February 3, 2025. He is survived by his wife, MaryAnn; daughters, Angela Masiello and Christine Vitelli; sister, Rosemary Kucharsky; and grandchildren, William Carmine Masiello and Jonathan Ralph Masiello.
