Trimmer Inez Molina Dies at 92

The Hog Ring - Trimmer Inez Molina Dies at 92

Trimmer Inez Barrera Molina of Austin, Texas, has died at age 92.

Inez was born in Stockdale on April 19, 1931. Following her schooling, she married WWII veteran Santos E. Molina and lived on his farm in Hobson.

After the couple to Karnes City, Inez found work at a furniture company and learned upholstery. She eventually opened her own shop, “Molina’s Upholstery,” which she operated for more than 30 years. During that time, she expanded her craft from furniture to auto, boat and plane interiors.

In 1992, Inez and Santos moved to Lago Vista to be closer to family and relocated the business to Jonestown. “Inez was a self-motivated, hardworking individual and took much pride in her beautiful work, serving our lakeside community for many years before her retirement,” her obituary says.

Sadly, she died on December 22, 2023. She is survived by her children, Rachel Molina Gress, Eddie B. Molina and Amanda Chrysopoulo; Grandchildren, Rudy Canales, Rachelle Molina, Evan Molina, Santiana and Thea Chrysopoulo, Carla, Amanda, Angie, Brenda, Karina, Michelle and Nikki; Dorean Canales and numerous great grandchildren.

“Family and friends were central to her life, and she provided endless laughter and fun to our gatherings,” her obituary adds. “She helped us and touched our hearts in so many ways throughout her life. We will cherish our memories with her, always.”

May she Rest in Peace.
