Authorities indicted two trimmers from Long Beach, California, who were arrested last year for trafficking drugs from their auto upholstery shop in Gardena.
Hector Valle, 48, and Efren Sanchez, 52, of Stitchn’ Time face an 11-count indictment for distributing fentanyl and methamphetamine, and for firearm offenses. The duo were arrested in 2023 when police raided their shop and found $1.5 million worth of drugs, including 33 pounds of black tar heroin, 2.2 pounds of fentanyl, a pound of meth and counterfeit M30 fentanyl pills. Authorities also confiscated six weapons, including a semiautomatic firearm, and several thousand dollars in cash.
“Those who traffic in fentanyl are well aware that they are profiting by putting others’ lives at risk,” U.S. Attorney Martin Estrada said in a statement announcing the indictment. “It is important that those bad actors be held accountable. I commend our law enforcement partners with the FBI and Ventura County Sheriff’s Office for their diligence in taking these dangerous drugs and firearms off our streets.”
If convicted of all charges, Valle and Sanchez face a maximum sentence of life in federal prison and a mandatory minimum sentence of at least 10 years in federal prison, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said.
Sounds like they should rename their trim shop from Stitchin’ Time to… wait for it… Doin’ Time 🥁
