Trimmer Francis “Gene” Geyer of Allegany, New York, has died at age 87.
Gene was born on September 16, 1937 in Olean and attended school in Cheektowaga before enlisting in the U.S. Navy at just 17 years old. He honorably served his country from 1954 to 1957.
After completing his service, Gene became an auto trimmer, working for various businesses in the Buffalo area for many years before retiring. In his off time, he was a member of the Allegany American Legion Post 892 and an avid hunter and fisherman, who took yearly trips to Canada with his fishing buddies, according to his obituary.
Sadly, Gene died on February 5, 2025. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Chapin; three sons, William Geyer, Michael Geyer and Travis Geyer; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
