Trimmer James Edward Gieselman of Annandale, Minnesota, has died at age 83.
James was born on January 11, 1943, in Herman, Minnesota. Following his education, James served in the United States Army until his discharge in 1965.
In 1972, James founded Ace Auto Upholstery, a business he poured his heart and soul into. “His passion fueled his skill and attention to detail, and he became known far and wide for the quality of his work,” his obituary says. “A true car enthusiast, Jim had a particular fondness for antique cars, especially Studebaker’s, and was a longtime member of the North Star Chapter of the Studebaker Drivers Club.”
In his off time, James enjoyed spending time with his wife and children, going to church and caring for his beloved dog, Cookie.
Sadly, James died on May 26, 2026. He is survived by his wife, Fern; children, Matthew Gieselman, Andi Bobick, Laura Evanson, Paula Lien, and Pam Gieselman; six grandchildren, Jack, Charlie, Bryce, Blake, Ruby, and Cullen; siblings, Doris Gieselman, Frank Gieselman, and Darline Wojtalewicz; and nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
