The Miami Corporation has announced a series of leadership changes as part of a broader organizational realignment aimed at supporting the company’s future growth across the awning, marine, automotive, upholstery, and industrial markets.

The most significant change is the appointment of Larry Faist as chief executive officer. Faist joined the company and assumed the CEO role on June 1, succeeding Tim Niehaus.
Niehaus, who previously served as CEO, has transitioned into a new position focused on advancing Miami’s digital strategy and helping transform the company’s website into a premier industry resource for customers across its core markets.
According to the company, Faist brings experience leading organizations in Fortune 500 companies, family owned businesses, and private equity backed firms. Miami said his focus throughout his career has been building long term, sustainable businesses.
Commercial Team Reorganized
Alongside the leadership transition, Miami has expanded its commercial leadership structure with the appointment of John Tavano as chief revenue officer.
In the newly created role, Tavano will oversee the company’s sales, customer service, product management, marketing, and digital commerce functions.
“The future of our business depends on our ability to deliver an exceptional customer experience while making it easier than ever for customers to do business with Miami,” Tavano said. “By aligning our customer facing teams around common objectives, we are creating a more agile organization focused on sustainable growth, long term customer relationships, and continued market leadership.”
The company said the changes are intended to create a more integrated commercial organization focused on customer needs and long term growth.
Sales Team Changes
Miami also announced several changes within its sales organization.
Shawn MacDowell has been promoted to sales director and will lead the company’s sales team while supporting the continued development of both inside and outside sales personnel.
Jim Newman has moved into a newly created inside sales representative position, where he will focus on expanding account coverage, strengthening customer relationships, and supporting growth initiatives across a broader segment of Miami’s customer base.
The company also welcomed Todd Raskin as its newest regional sales representative, strengthening its field sales presence in the northeastern United States.
According to Miami, the organizational changes are part of a long-term strategy designed to support future growth and strengthen customer engagement.
“As an employee owned company, our focus has always been on building for the long term,” Niehaus said. “This transition represents more than a change in leadership. It reflects our commitment to continuous improvement, thoughtful succession planning, and ensuring that Miami remains the trusted partner our customers rely on for years to come.”
