Keyston Bros is expanding its reach into the premium upholstery market with the acquisition of IMPACT Interior Products, a supplier known for its high-end aviation, automotive, marine, and rail interior materials.
The deal gives Keyston Bros customers access to a broader range of specialty products, along with custom manufacturing services such as CNC quilting, perforation, embossing, and pattern cutting.
“Our team is dedicated to continuing the legacy of excellence established by the IMPACT Interior Products team over the years. We want to ensure that customers from both parties understand that this strategic alignment is going to offer greater opportunities to all involved. Keyston Bros has built our business on maintaining relationships with our partners and will continue to expand those relationships to ensure that customer success still leads our vision for the future,” says Mike Hendrix, President of Keyston Bros.
As part of the acquisition, the two companies will form a new division focused on premium materials and installations. The move gives Keyston Bros a stronger presence in the luxury upholstery market while expanding its support for higher-end automotive, marine, and specialty interior projects.
The acquisition also opens the door to new market segments for Keyston Bros customers, particularly in general and commercial aviation. Aviation interiors require materials that meet strict standards for fire resistance, flammability, durability, and weight. By adding IMPACT’s product lineup, Keyston Bros customers will have access to aviation compliant materials through their existing supplier.
Another notable addition is IMPACT’s manufacturing facility in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The operation gives Keyston Bros customers access to services such as precision pattern cutting, custom quilting, CNC perforation, embossing, lamination, and stitched seat inserts.
Those capabilities could help upholstery shops offer more customized interior packages while simplifying sourcing and production.
“There is no one we trust more than Keyston Bros to bring IMPACT Interior Products to the next level,” says Matt Gurgiolo, co-founder of IMPACT Interior Products. “I am excited to join the Keyston Bros team and continue to serve our upholstery customers in even more ways.”
Keyston Bros says it will spend the coming months integrating the two businesses and rolling out new processes designed to bring IMPACT’s products and services into the Keyston Bros ecosystem.
The acquisition adds another layer to Keyston Bros’ already extensive product portfolio, which includes more than 35,000 SKUs and 18 branch locations across the United States.
